About Backyard Chickens:
For the first time, backyard chickens will be featured. Chico, especially, wants everyone to know that a group of lovely hens will be there with knowledgeable people to answer questions about this newly growing and popular pastime. Chico McRooster will be there as ONE very special chicken who is friendly, loves people and loves to be petted. Chico is honored to be a part of this World’s Largest Event. Remember, it is the Year of the Rooster and Chico wants to celebrate as much as possible. Come on down, enjoy the many critters, contests and animal tricks. While there, get a family photo with Chico or a selfie. They say roosters are good luck, especially if you pet them during this Year of the Rooster. Chico is there to offer some of his phenomenal, rare, real honest-to-goodness positive rooster energy. Check out Chico’s Facebook page to see others who have connected with this gentleman rooster.
About Chico McRooster:
Chico is a four-year-old Rhode Island Red Rooster who is very friendly, loves to be petted, connects with many visitors and poses for pictures. If you ever wanted to pet a rooster, now is your chance. Chico was rescued after lying in the gutter of an alley for five hours. He was thought to be a tossed out old red-brown sock, until picked up and found to be barely alive with his little song of “peep-peep-peep.” He was nursed back to health and now rides around in the car, goes shopping at Home Depot, Lowes, Petco and Petsmart, and finds many new friends at special events like this. He will be wearing his Summer stripe apron and be riding in his specially decorated canopy topped cart.
