Press Release (ePRNews.com) - New York, USA - Feb 25, 2016 - It’s been a busy month for RahGor in the US with talks given at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), attendance at the United Nations Head Quarters in New York, an interview on FOXTV and the creation of some powerful, motivational videos.
Rahfeal likes nothing more than to share his story with the aim of helping others realize their potential and be the best version of themselves they can be, and he’s particularly keen on supporting work that makes the world a better place.
On 18 February, at the UN HQ, Rahfeal was part of a select group of policy makers, philanthropists, and influences who met for a discussion entitled City Haven: People on the Move/Harbouring the Displaced.
The discussion was a prelude to the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS), an initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General that will host a global discussion on humanitarian action in May to find better ways to meet the needs of people in the face of conflict and disaster. One particular area of focus is how an urbanizing world is affecting how we prepare for, and respond to, emergencies.
The panel consisted of David Milliband, President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee; AisaKacyira, Deputy Executive Director of UN-Habitat; Daniel Zarrilli, Senior Director for Climate Policy and Programs in the Office of the Mayor of New York; and moderated by Miriam Elder, Foreign Editor of Buzzfeed. Closing remarks were delivered by Antoine Gerard, Chief of World Humanitarian Secretariat.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of the United Kingdom to the United Nations and UN-Habitat, with additional support from the International Rescue Committee.
