Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Day Block Township, Maine - Feb 15, 2016 - New site, Healing Hemp Needfuls, gives medical marijuana patients and those who care for them access to a blog actively cultivating discussions about living with cancer. The site includes a catalog of needfuls for growing, processing, and using cannabis as medicine. Other topics range from alternative medicine to emotional matters of the heart. The founder of the blog and shopping portal, who calls herself Grammy B, was inspired by the work she had to complete to be prepared for safely and efficiently making cannabis oil for herself. Diagnosed with lung cancer in 2008, and having tolerated as much conventional treatment as possible, she learned that cannabinoids found in the essential oil of the plant when processed correctly can stop the progression of the disease – and for many, can result in a cure. We now realize that cannabis has been used as a medicine, both internally and topically for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
Unlike California, some states that have legalized medical marijuana do not sell cannabis oil in their dispensaries. But, it’s not difficult to extract the essential oil, as long as users have the proper information and tools.
“I learned after enduring surgeries, chemo and radiation, that cannabis is a natural and amazing medicine worth looking in to. A concentrate called cannabis oil is considered a curative treatment by many as evidenced by anecdotal stories as well as research findings from around the world. Obtaining the concentrate can be a complicated process. I have already researched and obtained the needed items to make the medicine, so other patients don’t have to.”
“I have spent hours researching and learning about various methods for making cannabis oil,” she said. “The items – I call them needfuls – are available on my site, so users don’t need to search for the eclectic assortment from ‘scratch.’ The site’s catalog also offers books on diet, cooking, growing marijuana, adult coloring books for de-stressing, and even a ‘Ladies Only’ section with some surprising and fun offerings.”
“I’m continuing to find and share research, information on the legalization of marijuana, any hacks that make the processing of cannabis oil easier and safer, and other natural and healthy choices for the cancer patient,” she said. “Future topics for research and discussion include remedies such as a reiki, diet, meditation/spirituality, art therapy and psychedelics as medicine.”
Grammy, a retired teacher who is an artist, dog lover, and proud parent to two adult sons, said when people first hear her story, they call her brave – and a little crazy.
“When I discuss the making of medicine in my kitchen, those who are not educated about cannabis oil are impressed and amazed,” she said. “Those who are already using it, or are knowledgeable, just smile and nod their heads.”
