Los Angeles, CA – October 14, 2016, – The 5th Annual Necker Cup Pro-Am will take place November 14th through November 19th, 2016, on Sir Richard Branson‘s private Necker Island, located in the British Virgin Islands. The six-day event, which has been called “The World’s Most Exclusive Tennis Pro-Am,” pairs 16 ATP/WTA Tour players and legends with 16 amateur teams in an effort to raise money for several notable charities. Not only a once in a lifetime experience, this unique event has helped raise more than $3 million for worthy causes across the globe while giving countless amateur tennis players the opportunity to play alongside their tennis idols.

Tennis pros already confirmed for 2016 include Former World No.1 Stefan Edberg, Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, World No.38 Fabio Fognini, Former World No.4 Todd Martin and 2015 U.S Open Champion Flavia Pennetta, with additions still being made.  Previous pros at the Necker Cup have included recognizable names such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Boris Becker, Tracy Austin, Brad Gilbert, Johan Kriek, David Nalbandian, Martina Navratilova, John Peers and Donald Young.

Away from the tennis courts, participants can enjoy all that Necker Island has to offer; from paddle boarding, sailboat races, kite boarding (Sir Richard’s favorite), wake boarding and snorkeling to relaxing spa treatments.

The week culminates with the now infamous “End of the World” party where participants join Sir Richard himself for an intimate charity gala dinner which will include an auction and concert. This year, singer/songwriter Robin Thicke headlines the evening bringing added star power to this incredible night. The sensational “Blurred Lines” singer and four-time Grammy nominee will close off the week with a private show sure to bring the house down.

Amateurs of all levels are encouraged to join the star-studded 5-night/6-day all-inclusive bash. Starting at $115,000 per couple, packages include accommodation on Necker Island in either the Bali Houses or in Sir Richard’s Great House, use of Necker Island amenities, entries into the Charity Exhibition, Dinner, Auction and “End of the World” Party.

The Necker Cup directly benefits several non-profits including Virgin Unite, the National Tennis Foundation and specially chosen player charities. Sir Richard Branson, in conjunction with Premier Tennis Group, will host a four-day World-Class Pro-Am Tennis Event on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands November 14th November 19th, 2016. Sir Richard will join current and former ATP and WTA legends to pair up with amateur teams of all levels. A handicapped scoring format will be used making it competitive tennis for all tennis levels.
