Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Arlington, VA - Jun 21, 2018 - Anne C. Lewis, a German-born lover of animals and longtime pet-sitter who lives out her retirement writing children’s stories in Washington, D.C., where she lives with her husband, has completed her new book, “Molly and Billy’s Favorite Backyard Birds”: a delightful story of two young children who learn to be friends to the birds that visit their backyard.
Anne shares, “Molly and Billy live in a big house with a big backyard with lots of big trees and berry bushes—all surrounded by a tall white fence.
Molly and Billy love all the many birds that visit their backyard every day, and they want to tell you all about them. There are three bird feeders in the backyard. Billy’s assignment each day is to make sure each feeder is filled up with seeds, and Molly’s is to keep the feeders washed each week. ‘If you want to enjoy the birds, you will have to take care of the feeders,’ Mom explains.
Molly’s favorite time of the year is spring because that is the time that her favorite bird, the robin, makes its first appearance after the long cold winter. Molly likes the robin’s orange chest feathers and funny walk. ‘On the ground, they take little steps, then stop for a second, then take little steps again and stop,’ Molly tells Billy. ‘It’s so funny to watch!’”
