The AAC is organized by the Essential Oil Association of India (EOAI) and presented by the Asian Aroma Ingredients Congress & Expo (AAIC). The AAIC brings together educators, producers, growers, and scientists to discuss various issues surrounding the future of the aroma-ingredients and essential oil industry.

“This is a topic near and dear to my heart,” says Petersen, president and founder of the American College of Healthcare Sciences. “My mother, who was always smart-as-a-tack, started beginning to repeat stories and show signs of cognitive decline last year. Dementia and age-related cognitive decline is on the rise. This is a worldwide epidemic, and we have to be proactive.”

“I’m excited to share information that could have a significant positive impact for people struggling with memory performance. Essential oils may also prove effective as a support for people living with, or developing symptoms of, Alzheimer’s disease. The potential for improved quality of life with this relatively inexpensive and safe holistic wellness protocol is huge,” adds Petersen.

Petersen’s AAC presentation will explore emerging memory research on black pepper Piper nigrum (L.), coriander Coriandrum sativum (L.), clove Syzygium aromaticum (L.)Spanish sageSalvia lavandulifolia (Vahl), Greek sage Salvia fruticosa (L.), lavender Lavandula angustifolia (L.), and rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis (L.) essential oils.
