Author Alan J. Greczynski's New Book '1611' Poses Scholarly Argument That King James Bible Was the Impetus of Western Civilization

Press Release ( - KINGSTON, N.Y. - Jan 18, 2019 - Alan J. Greczynski, a retired maintenance technician in the US Postal Service, veteran of the US Coast Guard and National Guard, and recipient of a Masters Degree in Military History from Norwich University, has completed his new book “1611: Christianity’s Reboot, and the Advent of Western Civilization”: an academic piece written in an easy to understand style. It presents arguments that post-Jacobean era Europe owes a debt to this king of Scotland and England, King James, for his efforts to rebrand the Bible as a book for the masses, rather than keeping it reserved for the clergy and aristocracy. In terms of its effectiveness and exposure, Greczynski draws a parallel between the KJV Bible and another iconoclastic piece of literature.

“Why did Western Civilization succeed when others plateaued?” Greczynski asks readers. “Christian Western Europe was a backward place, and yet when the Protestant Reformation took hold, it took off. James’s book, The KJV Bible, is compared with Chairman Mao’s ‘Little Red Book’ as it, too, served to push its civilization outward.”

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Alan J. Greczynski’s research posits some worthwhile questions surrounding the similarities between Mao and James.

“The creation of James’ work would be a hallmark of literary masterpieces,” Greczynski states. “As with Mao Zedong and his ‘Little Red Book’ which contained many of the strategies drawn from the works of Sun Tzu, James would, in essence, ‘re-boot’ Christianity with his book, thus taking Christianity out of its medieval era and mindset and bringing it into the emerging modern Western world.”
