Press Release (ePRNews.com) - MUNICH, Germany - Nov 16, 2016 - Berichthaus, a German software development firm, today announced the release of TFS Timetracker Version 3, a native timekeeping application built on the Microsoft Extension Model and aligned with the release of Team Foundation Server 2017.
The release of this new version marks the first time TFS Timetracker has been built entirely on the Extension Model for Team Services, announced by Microsoft in 2015. It provides a simple way for software teams using Team Foundation Server to track and manage development time, which is otherwise handled through a series of additional programs and strung-together processes and systems.
“We want to help software teams build the best solutions possible without distractions,” said Marc Schaeffler, CEO of Berichthaus, creators of TFS Timetracker. “TFS Timetracker 3 is completely rebuilt on the new extension model from Microsoft, which guarantees best interoperability and lifetime support. The new features, such as the brand new Timesheet, finally make time recording and management as simple as it should be, while the integrated item level reporting helps teams be more productive.”
In addition to being built on the Extension Model platform, Version 3 of TFS Timetracker also has a number of functional and user-interface enhancements over the previous version (2.8). It offers a completely new Timesheet functionality that generates timesheets based on work item status, new iteration health measurement features, improved budget and approval systems, and an entirely new REST-based reporting API that works with OAuth and OData applications.
A full list of changes and updates can be found on the TFS Timetracker blog (http://blog.tfs-timetracker.com/tfs-timetracker-version-3…).
Berichthaus, today, also released TFS Timetracker for VSTS (Visual Studio Team Services), which includes a number of upgrades (http://blog.tfs-timetracker.com/tfs-timetracker-for-vsts-…). For the first time, both cloud and on-premise versions have the same features and functionality.
“This new release is a huge step forward, giving everyone on the team the exact tools they need to see, track, and manage their effort in a seamless way,” said Schaeffler. Source :
