Bluesound to Showcase at CES 2017 Hi-Res Audio Pavilion

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Las Vegas, Nevada - Jan 04, 2017 - BLUESOUND, the world’s first wireless multi-room music system to support hi-res audio, has partnered with DEG, The Digital Entertainment Group, to sponsor a special Hi-Res Audio Pavilion at CES 2017.

The pavilion, located in the Central Hall (Booth #14546) of the Las Vegas Convention Center, is designed to highlight the key listening benefits of hi-res music and showcase the end-to-end process of creating the music we listen to, from recording to production to storage and to playback. In addition to the presence of select device manufacturers like Bluesound, the pavilion is also supported by a number of hi-res music stores and streaming services.  These include the certifying body for Hi-Res Audio products globally, Japan Audio Society; recording industry representatives from the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA); MQA Ltd.; and the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

Bluesound’s roots are in hi-fi and so taking an end-to-end approach to acoustic design has always been our goal. The music that plays from a Bluesound player needs to sound as close as possible to what was recorded because that is the sound that the artist and the producers intended for the end user to hear. We understand, design for, and optimize the signal path that music takes from source to speaker to create the truest possible sound reproduction for our customers to enjoy at home, every time.

“We’re honoured to be selected to join such an elite class of audio manufacturers and music professionals at CES this year,” said John Banks, Bluesound’s Chief Brand Officer.

“Bluesound’s roots are in hi-fi and so taking an end-to-end approach to acoustic design has always been our goal. The pavilion will also feature a fully functioning replica of the legendary Capital Studios Control Room A where The Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, and other major artists recorded some of their greatest hits. A number of hi-res recordings representing dozens of major and independent labels including Universal Music Group and Warner Music will be demonstrated for visitors interested in hearing the hi-res difference.

“At Universal Music Group, we are focused on delivering the highest-quality music experiences to fans around the world,” said Ty Roberts, Chief Technology Officer at Universal Music Group. “At CES we will showcase next-generation premium features that are increasingly in high demand by consumers including studio-quality sound and a treasure trove of high-definition album art and other images.”

In addition to Bluesound’s presence at the Hi-Res Audio Pavilion, the company’s full line of hi-res wireless speakers and digital music players will also be on display at CES 2017 at The Venetian, Suite 30-235.
