Bodywork Therapists Discuss Craniosacral Therapy Research and Benefits at Online Conference

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - TIJERAS, N.M. - Nov 16, 2020 - Craniosacral therapy (CST) is celebrating 50 years of healing people worldwide this year.

Etienne Peirsman, international author and founder of Peirsman CranioSacral Academy (PCA), adds that “CST is a gentle, hands-on practice that facilitates fluids around the central nervous system. When this tension is relieved, we have learned over the past five decades that there can be improvements in both health and immunity.”

Prominent speakers at the online event this weekend include Victoria Bodner, a licensed massage therapist (LMT) with the Cleveland Clinic. Bodner will discuss the shift in attitudes toward CST by mainstream healthcare in the US.

Additionally, Lorna Sigorney, LMT will discuss the use and benefits of CST for hospice clients. Stephanie Mano will be discussing how as an Occupational Therapist, she is helping children with ADD/ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). Karen Henderson, a Project Coordinator for the Veterans Resiliency Holistic Clinic in Richmond, Virginia, will present on how CST research is demonstrating benefits to veterans suffering from PTSD and other forms of trauma.

Leila von Stein, Executive Director at PCA notes that many other areas of research around CST and its benefits continue to gain interest. “At our academy we aim to continue to raise awareness around how craniosacral therapy, for both infants as well as adults, continues to garner attention and interest around the world from bodywork therapists and medical researchers. This event is a celebration as much as it is a collaboration. After half a century, craniosacral therapy is starting to be accepted worldwide as an effective alternative to complement other forms of care.”

“Given COVID-19 this year,” von Stein continues, “holding an online summit was a request we were starting to hear from interested students around the world wanting to learn more. This summit is a great way to keep the conversation moving forward.”

The event is asking for $99 donation per ticket, but no one will be turned away. All that is required is internet access and a computer.

The online event is being powered by http://runtheworld.today, an online conference platform. It requires no downloads and is very easy to use.
