A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, Cultural Vistas has used career exploration to facilitate connections between Americans and international visitors since 1950.

Cultural Vistas annually serves more than 5,000 students, professionals, and emerging leaders through career-focused international internships, educational study tours, language immersion and cultural exchange programs in the United States and around the world.

Cultural Vistas is authorized by the U.S. Department of State as an Exchange Visitor Program sponsor in the Intern, Teacher, and Trainee categories of the J-1 Visa. The Exchange Visitor Program fosters global understanding through educational and cultural exchanges.

In 2013, Cultural Vistas administered a variety of professionally-oriented exchange programs students and professionals from 138 different countries around the world.
