Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Nashville, Tennessee - Oct 27, 2016 - The Church of Scientology hosted a World Mental Health Day workshop to help parents learn what their children need to thrive in life. Working with the Nashville chapter of Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) and Dr. Elizabeth Pendergrass of Rock Springs Family Chiropractic, the Church raised awareness on children’s mental and physical health.
Part of CCHR’s mission is to educate parents on their rights. “It’s important to us that parents know the dangers of psychiatric drugs, as well as the other options available to them so their children lead happy and healthy lives,” said the Executive Director of CCHR Nashville.
Dr. Pendergrass clearly described how to deal holistically with a variety of health issues that are often misdiagnosed as mental health problems and how parents can help their children.
CCHR is an international psychiatric watchdog group co-founded in 1969 by members of the Church of Scientology and the late psychiatrist Dr. Thomas Szasz. CCHR has helped to enact more than 150 laws protecting individuals from abusive or coercive mental health practices. For more information on CCHR Nashville, visit cchrnashville.org.
