Press Release (ePRNews.com) - HOUSTON - Jul 11, 2018 - Today, Cogent Energy Services announced the expansion of its Permian Basin facilities with a new 7,500 square foot facility on 4.5 acres of land in Odessa, Texas. Heading the expansion and all Cogent Permian operations will be General Manager Clay Sears, a Midland resident who has been with the company since its inception.
The facility is on I-20 at the FM 1936 exit and was built to accommodate Cogent’s coiled tubing fleet, specifically its 2 3/8” unit which operates primarily in West Texas and New Mexico. With a large wash bay and three-bay shop complete with a crane, Cogent can more rapidly service all of its units, including a 1¼” and several 2” units that work in the Permian.
The facility is complete with 5 offices and large conference room to support Cogent’s continued growth in the area. “Cogent began with an acquisition in the Permian Basin. It was always our goal to expand our footprint and presence in the area with a facility of this caliber. This facility accommodates our growing brand,” said Chet Erwin, Cogent’s Chief Executive Officer.
