Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Topeka, KS - Jun 06, 2018 - Dr. Brenda Marney, senior pastor of Good Shepherd Church in Topeka, where she lives with her husband of forty-seven years, has completed her new book, “Prophetic Prayer: Volumes 1 and 2: Advancing the Kingdom”: an edifying handbook for tapping into the Holy Spirit’s power through prayer.
Dr. Marney shares, “Now many times we only pray for what’s on our list. We have maybe five things we are asking God for. We never get into the new language of the Spirit. See, there is a place beyond our list, a place of ascension into the heavens. We pray from up there. There is a destination, a goal, and a place in which you can virtually live.
I truly pray all the time. When I am not busy, I am praying. You have to get all the junk off your chest and off your heart. We go through this day by day. If you don’t pray and forgive as it is happening, it remains in your chest. Therefore, before it becomes a spiritual problem, you must pray off that junk. Letting go of resentment, hurt feelings, revenge, and anger keeps your heart clean and ready to receive a work of prophecy from God. These things we go through are called life. But they have the potential to bring us to distraction. A little distraction can mean a huge distortion.”
Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Dr. Brenda Marney’s new book is a powerful testimony to the potency of prayer, which, when done right, brings about great change—in homes and families, and the healing of hearts, minds, bodies, and spirits.
Dr. Marney, who persisted in founding Good Shepherd Church in 1994 despite widespread controversy over women preachers, is a great example of a devout believer who moves mountains, overcomes giants, and uncorks blessings in people’s lives, all through the power of prayer.
Readers can purchase “Prophetic Prayer: Volumes 1 and 2” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
