Press Release (ePRNews.com) - SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Jan 28, 2021 - A winner has officially been crowned in the Dream Chopper Competition, and Paul Teutul Sr.’s Hudson Valley SPCA has also earned a big win for the animals.
In 2020, the Dream Chopper online voting competition launched in hopes of creating an incredible experience for one lucky bike enthusiast. The winner would not only have the opportunity to design a dream bike alongside the famous Paul Teutul Sr. and the Orange County Choppers crew, but they would also earn a feature on an episode of the show and star on the cover of Cycle Source Magazine. On Dec. 17, 2020, after the votes were finalized, proud veteran and former detective Joe Rasulo became the first official Dream Chopper winner. Throughout the competition, Joe had the support of people from around the world who resonated with his incredible story of heroism and thirty years of riding experience, and he plans on commemorating his service in the bike’s highly anticipated design.
Another aspect of the competition that resonated with voters and competitors was the opportunity to help raise awareness to the Hudson Valley SPCA, an animal rescue in Orange County, New York that Paul Teutul Sr. proudly supports. By the end of the competition, more than $269,000 was raised to help provide funding and forever homes for animals in need of good homes, and the Dream Chopper family couldn’t be more excited.
“We are so thrilled for the opportunity to have made this donation to the Hudson Valley SPCA,” said an executive with Dream Chopper. “Animals mean so much to us, and we are so excited to have been able to help support a cause that is so near and dear to Paul Teutul Sr. and his family. We can’t think of a better way to give back to the animals, and we are happy to have been part of this journey with the amazing crew at Orange County Choppers. It’s truly been an incredible ride!”
