European Young Chef Award 2016

Press Release ( - BARCELONA, Spain - Nov 08, 2016 - On Monday 14 November from eleven in the morning, will take place for the first time the prize European Young Chef Award 2016 with the participation of 10 young European chefs. The competition is organized by the International Institute of Cuisine, Culture, Art and Tourism (IGCAT), the European Region of the platform and the Culinary School of Hospitality and Tourism in Sant Pol de Mar (EUHTStPOL).

The event will be attended by chefs Joan Roca, Carme Ruscalleda and president of the jury; Mr. Ramon Serra, president of EUHT StPOL , Mr. Jordi Teserras; Coordinator of Cultural Tourism and the Postgrade Course in International Cooperation and Cultural Management at the University of Barcelona; Dr. Diane Dodd, president of IGCAT España; Dra. Edith Szivas, IGCAT treasurer and Caroline Couret, Director of Network and Barcelona CreativeTourism CreativeTourism program.

The competition will start from eleven in the morning and is open to the media. Then serve a meal at school and at half past five in the afternoon there will be a round table “cuisine of proximity, new versions of traditional recipes, and the legacy we leave to future professional chefs cooking “Joan Roca and Carme Ruscalleda.
