Fast Enterprises Recognized as a 'Best Workplace' for Diversity, Millennials and More

The awards, which include FAST’s fifth consecutive award as a “best place to work” by online jobs and career community Glassdoor®, also consist of awards from consulting and research firm Great Place to Work®. FAST was recognized in multiple categories as a best workplace for diversity, millennials and the technology sector.

Jennifer Tuvell, a FAST founding partner, said the importance of the recognition is that it is based on information provided anonymously by employees. “We are particularly proud that these awards represent a wide variety of voices and groups within our workforce,” she said.

Glassdoor® announced its top 100 U.S. “Best Places to Work list for large companies as part of its 2018 Employees’ Choice Awards. The annual awards are based on employees’ anonymous feedback in areas such as job satisfaction, career opportunities, pay and benefits, company culture and more.

The Great Place to Work® awards, which list FAST along with other top companies as Best Workplaces in Diversity, Best Workplaces for Millennials  and Best Small & Medium Workplaces in Technology (awarded for 2017 and 2018), are also based on anonymous employee surveys that rate employers on topics such as professional opportunities and advancement, workplace respect and fairness, leadership competence and other employee-satisfaction metrics.

“Our voluntary turnover rate is about one-third the average turnover rate for the IT industry, so we know people like working at FAST,” Tuvell said. “Employee retention rates don’t tell us, however, what really resonates with our employees.”

She said FAST places a higher value on career and workplace information that is obtained directly from its employees.

“Direct feedback — whether obtained through in-person interactions, company workshops or employee surveys — is critical to ensuring our corporate culture reflects the needs and values of our diverse workforce,” Tuvell said. “The information we obtain through award programs like these helps to ensure that FAST continues to remain among the best places to work.”
