Press Release (ePRNews.com) - ALEXANDRIA, VA - Jan 12, 2017 - The Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), the nation’s premier trade association for merit shop electrical and systems contractors, representing over 3,000 companies, announces a “Call for Presentations” for IECCon17, its 2017 annual conference held October 25-28, 2017, in Phoenix, AZ.
Building on the success of past conferences, IEC is looking for innovative, knowledgeable, and articulate experts to share their expertise with their fellow peers working in the electrical or systems contractor ecosystem. The submissions deadline for speaker proposals is Monday, February 27, 2017.
I’m thrilled to see IEC Con really take root and focus on the issues directly affecting the electrical and systems contracting industries, led by our group of world-class presenters and engaged session attendees. It’s imperative we continue this momentum, and I urge potential speakers to take advantage of this opportunity to challenge current thinking, highlight industry trends and new technologies, and showcase industry-leading solutions while motivating others in the pursuit of excellence. I certainly look forward to the next set of expert presenters at IECCon17.
Under the submission guidelines, presentation submissions should focus on suggested topics, such as overtime rule concerns for employers, top reasons electrical service installations get red tagged, the buzz about drones, gig workers and how they affect the labor force, how to handle an unexpected service equipment meltdown, skilled worker labor shortage, temporary electrical power, and other relevant issues to the electrical and systems contracting industry.
All submissions will be reviewed and are selected based on practical applicability and relevance to the IEC audience; quality; innovation; and originality of the information and delivery, organization and focus, qualifications/reputation of presenter(s), and creative use of multi-media or adult education tools. To submit a presentation online, visit www.ieci.org/iec-con/2017-proposals.
