In November, Bullion Exchanges Brings You the 2016 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Centennial Gold Coin

Press Release ( - New York, NY - Nov 16, 2016 - This 100-year anniversary series which celebrates the three iconic coins, introduced by the US Mint in 1916, will be completed with its last spectacular piece –  2016 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Centennial Gold Coin – available from mid-November.

The highly anticipated centennial coin trio also includes the 2016 Mercury Dime Centennial Gold Coin, issued in April, and the 2016 Standing Liberty Quarter Centennial Gold Coin, released in September. These magnificent gold coins are highly sought-after by collectors around the globe due to their historical design and very limited mintage.

The superb half dollar centennial coin carries the same stunning design as the original Walking Liberty (issued between 1916-1947), and the American Silver Eagle (minted since 1986), created by the remarkable American sculptor Adolph A. Weinman. The obverse showcases the Liberty’s figure in full stride and enveloped in the folds of the United States flag. She is pictured as holding oak and laurel branches in her left hand while her right arm is extended, being framed by the inscriptions “2016”, “In God We Trust”, “Liberty” and the “W” initial (added for the anniversary version). The reverse displays the majestic American eagle, depicted as rising from a mountain top perch, and surrounded by the engravings “E Pluribus Unum”, “United States of America”, “Half Dollar”, as well as the West Point mintmark, weight and purity of the coin (another difference between the original and centennial coins).

Struck at the West Point facility of the US Mint, this fabulous coin is produced from half-ounce of .9999 fine gold (24K), having a reeded edge and business strike finish. The ½ oz. size is symbolic to the half dollar face value of this centennial coin, which is the same as of the original Walking Liberty coin. The US Mint established a mintage limit of 70,000 pieces (the lowest among the centennial releases) and a household order limit of 3 coins, making it a true must-have for collectors.

The mint will offer these spectacular coins individually encapsulated and thoroughly hand-packed in the beautiful custom-designed hardwood presentation box with a black matte finish. Each coin will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The Mercury Dime Centennial Coin sold out in less than an hour, and only a few of Standing Liberty Centennial Coins are available today. Along with the low issue limit of the 2016 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Centennial Gold Coin, you can expect that this breathtaking coin will become quickly off-sale, so hurry up and grab your piece!
