Industries Thriving During The Pandemic

The past year has been a struggle for a lot of us as we have all been affected in one way or another by the global pandemic caused by Covid-19 and we still don’t seem to be anywhere near the end of this worrying time. Although it’s been a worrying time for most individuals and businesses, there have been some industries that have benefitted from this period and below we investigate why this is.

For starters, personal protection equipment and hand sanitizing products have been the industries that many of us have relied on to get us through this pandemic safely. Pre-Covid, not many of us would have blinked at eye at these types of industries however they have become a vital part of the world. With majority of countries now having masks in public locations as a mandatory rule, these companies have certainly thrived during this period and as said above, we aren’t close to the end of the pandemic, so their reign is due to continue. Only a year ago, wearing masks in public was very alien and now it seems the norm.

Other industries that have been able to benefit during this period has been that of online entertainment services that consumers have been using to ensured that they are able to stay entertained whilst stuck indoors preventing the spread of the virus. Companies like Netflix have reported an increase in numbers during the height on the pandemic with more and more people signing up to use the platform for their wide variety of TV and movies. Furthermore, online gambling has also seen in arise during this period, here are a few examples of sites that have been supplying punters with some of the best choice of your favourite casino games on the web – something certainly worth checking out.

And finally, e-commerce numbers have gone through the roof during the pandemic down to two main reason. The public worry of leaving their house to go shopping for their usual goods has been high so many have turned to online alternatives to do their shopping and so stores like Amazon have seen an increase in their marketplace as many have been using their delivery service for their everyday goods. Furthermore, online clothes shopping stores like ASOS have also reported a rise in sales as many high-street stores have been forced to close in national lockdowns so many have again been using online alternatives to do their clothes shopping during this period.
