Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Seattle, WA - Oct 19, 2016 - Intego, the first in Mac security software, has today discovered a new fake Flash player installer labeled ‘SilverInstaller’, that uses familiar methods to trick the user into downloading it onto their computer. Intego researchers observed that the installer, when clicked, downloads a file named “FlashPlayer_01.30.pkg” that looks like a generic package file. Once the package is opened, it shows “Install SilverInstaller” which seems to install other content that do not happen to appear after installation is complete.
