Besides games which are a natural fit for Virtual Reality, there is a growing appetite in Hollywood and Bollywood, for Cinematic VR entertainment.
AAA film studios in the West are now releasing VR experiences tied to blockbuster films.
At IFFI 2016, filmmakers looking at entering into VR filmmaking will get a 2 hour intensive masterclass on Cinematic VR movie making from Script to Headset screen, where VR Filmmaker, Clyde DeSouza will dissect a VR movie that combines live action and CG in stereoscopic 360.
“Hollywood has not yet perfected the art of VR filmmaking. There’s lots of errors which will be highlighted and fixes shown, during the masterclass,” said Mr. DeSouza.
“For the first time, both Bollywood and Hollywood are on the same level playing field, and in keeping with the Government’s Make-in-India and Skills India initiatives, there’s no reason the Indian film industry can’t emerge as leaders in this medium of visual entertainment.” he said.
Previous editions of the “Think in 360” masterclass have been held for Google MENA at Google’s Dubai Headquarters and previously in Singapore.
The Think in 360 masterclass will be held on 27th Nov. at the Maquinez Palace Complex, Goa, as part of the International Film Festival of India’s masterclass sessions. Source :
