Investor Management Services Appoints SaaS Industry Veteran as New CEO and Announces Major Investment to Accelerate Platform Innovation

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Charlotte, North Carolina - Jan 10, 2017 - Investor Management Services (IMS), the award-winning software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider for commercial real estate owners and operators, announced today that Chris Atkinson has joined the company as CEO. Mr. Atkinson is a 20-year software veteran with a track record accelerating revenue growth and operational excellence. Mr. Atkinson replaces Robert J. Finlay, Chairman of the Board, who served as CEO since product inception in 2015.

To coincide with Mr. Atkinson’s appointment, IMS has raised additional capital to drive product investment and accelerate growth.  “We at Summit are thrilled with the speed and traction IMS has demonstrated in its first 18 months.  We sought an operational leader who has experience taking SaaS businesses to scale.  Chris is a clear fit for us with his passion, customer focus, and commitment to operational excellence,” Chris Dean, Managing Director of Summit Partners.

“The manual limitations of couriers, email and spreadsheets are gone. The IMS platform gives an unfair advantage to our clients when compared to legacy off-line sponsors.”

“We welcome Chris’s experience and leadership to the IMS community,” said Mr. Finlay. “Chris was clearly the top candidate to lead IMS as we scale the business. Chris brings depth in driving operational excellence and leading high-performing teams.  Most importantly, Chris shares a passion and commitment for customer success to guide our team forward.”

“We’re entering a market stage where technology platforms will disrupt the legacy methods of investor management,” said Mr. Atkinson.  “The manual limitations of couriers, email and spreadsheets are gone. The IMS platform gives an unfair advantage to our clients when compared to legacy off-line sponsors.  Founded, designed, and built by CRE industry veterans, IMS is the recognized leader for sponsors looking for competitive advantage in delivering a better experience to investors,” said Mr. Atkinson.  “I could not be more excited to join this high-caliber team at such an exciting time in Commercial Real Estate.”

In his tenure, StrikeIron averaged 68% CAGR. The 440% revenue growth from 2011 to mid-2014 led to its successful acquisition by Informatica. His nearly 20-year career includes executive management, general management, sales, marketing, and corporate development roles at Fortune 100 and venture-backed start-ups. Mr. Atkinson earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
