Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Lexington, KY - Aug 20, 2018 - Jean Martin, an eighty-year-old married mother and grandmother who enjoys singing in the choir, redecorating, and consulting for Mary Kay, has completed her new book, “Almost 80”: a loving result of a deep desire to share God’s love and salvation.
Jean shares, “When you open your eyes what do you see? Do you see the lonely neighbor who lost his wife? Do you take the time to check on him or invite him to a meal? What about the new neighbor who just moved in? Do you introduce yourself and make her feel welcome? What about the cashier at the store, do you greet him or her with a smile or complaint? The homeless person you see on the corner, do you give him a hand out or just ignore him? What kind of example are you setting? Remember Jesus said, ‘If you have done it unto the least of these my children, you have done it unto me.’ Open your eyes and take a good look at yourself, what do you see? Are you showing the love of Jesus or are you hiding your light because of some feeling of insecurity on your behalf? Don’t fool yourself. Be honest with your feelings. When God opens a door, don’t shut it in his face. Remember you may be the only Jesus some people will ever see. So, do not be afraid to make a difference wherever you go. Let your light show.”
