Press Release (ePRNews.com) - DONIPHAN, Mo. - Nov 26, 2018 - Karen Woods, a grandmother, first-time author, and a resident of a small rural community in southeast Missouri, has completed her new book, “The Thirty Five Year Old Secret: The Karen Woods Story”: a highly intriguing narrative of a woman’s journey to overcoming her grief brought about by her toils involving a heinous stepdad.
Karen shares, “During this part of my testimony, I broke down and started crying again. Through my tears, I gave Willie mean glares, with the hatred I had for him obvious on my face. The thought that Joan had always told people that none of this ever happened, even though she had lived through it with me, kept me wanting to continue telling my story. She knew I had been telling the truth but had done nothing to help me or protect me. She had always called me a liar, telling her friends that I had made all this up for attention. Why would I keep telling the same story without any inconsistencies? This attitude toward me has always filled me with rage!”
Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Karen Woods’s new book is a candid account of her painful life at the hands of a serial killer/rapist and how she triumphed over her sorrows to become the woman she is today.
This tale shares Karen Woods’s rocky trail of healing inspired by the love of God, hoping to enlighten others who are suffering from trauma in finding healing through God’s love.
Readers can purchase “The Thirty Five Year Old Secret: The Karen Woods Story” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
