Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Las Vegas, Nevada - Dec 13, 2016 - This year, Steelhead Productions is proud to support local nonprofits by taking an active role in the community and lending a helping hand where it is needed the most.
All of the opportunities to make a difference throughout the year have been special, but one of Steelhead’s proudest moments was making little Trinity Sharrer’s dream backyard a wish come true. Trinity is an 8 year old who is battling a serious neurological illness – encephalopathy. The disease causes Trinity to suffer from painful seizures that have affected her life since birth. Although Trinity is non-verbal, the joy she finds from playing with her siblings is as clear as day. Unfortunately, because of the Las Vegas heat, playing outdoors was not an option – because the heat can trigger her seizures.
As part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Adopt-A-Wish program, Steelhead Productions decided to accept the challenge: make a backyard Trinity could play in and enjoy, too. So the team set out and gathered some friends along the way, including Orbus Exhibit & Display Group who donated some of the materials to fit Trinity’s needs. Knowing Trinity’s favorite color was purple, Steelhead and Orbus designed a purple-canopied play area complete with turf flooring and a misting system. Trinity’s new backyard was unveiled with family and friends to witness the finished product. It was a moment Steelhead would never forget.
Steelhead recognizes the importance of giving year-round, and would also like to thank Safe Nest, Susan G. Komen and Three Square for working for the community and with Steelhead to determine what is the best way Give Happy-ers can help.
The Give Happy committee was formed in 2013 to fully coordinate and direct the company’s efforts to give back and corporate social responsibility. Steelhead Productions is a Las Vegas-based exhibit house, and has supported more than a dozen local charities throughout the valley over the past three years.
