“We are so honoured to be a part of this amazing event,” said Lori Rudniski, Executive Director of Bravestone Centre. “The remarkable work and passion that goes into this event by CarMa inspires all of us! As one of the chosen charities, the money raised goes directly to our Art Therapy program and enriched summer activities for the women and their children rebuilding their lives from the impact of domestic violence who call Bravestone home.”
“We are so thrilled and appreciative to have been chosen as a beneficiary of CarMa’s Annual Ladies Comedy Event this year!” said Colleen King, Public Education & Communications Coordinator of Fort Garry Women’s Resource Centre. “The incredible generosity and hard work of Carmyn and Maya at CarMa Events is truly inspiring, and all of the proceeds raised for FGWRC will directly support the important free-of charge services we offer the Winnipeg community, which includes everything from domestic abuse counselling to emergency food programs for women and children.”
The cocktail style evening of comedy will showcase four female comedians Meghan Riley, Carole Cunningham, Lara Rae and Dana Smith.
