Press Release (ePRNews.com) - LAGOS CITY, Nigeria - Oct 10, 2016 - Lights, Camera, Africa, Film Festival 2016 kicked off with the opening cocktail atFriday, September 30th 2016 at Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos. The cocktail which was hosted by Lala Akindoju, attracted over 800 people from all walks of life especially the Arts community within and outside Nigeria.
The film festival which was themed “Music makes the people…” began with the worldwide premiere of “Green White Green and All The Beautiful Colours in My Mosaic Madness” by Abba Makama; a movie about three young boys from the Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo ethnic groups with different social classes trying to pursue their artistic inclinations. The premiere was well attended by over 800 guests and ended with a standing ovation. The Q& A was handled by Wana Udobang and was follòwed by an interactive conversation with the audience.
The days that followed witnessed over a 1000 people troop in to attend the screening of 23 films from 14 countries some of which included House of Nwapa, Too Black to be French?, Ntore, In The Eye of The Eye of The Spiral, Ntore The Amazing Nina Simone, Gidi Blues, Cholo and much more.
