Letters From Generation Rx, Family Tragedies Mark the Dark Side of Psychiatric Drugs on DOCUMENTARY SHOWCASE

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - LOS ANGELES - Nov 07, 2018 - Scientology Network’s DOCUMENTARY SHOWCASE, the weekly series providing a platform for independent filmmakers to air films on important social, cultural and environmental issues, presents Letters from Generation Rxa powerful look at the mortal dangers for children who have been prescribed anti-depressant drugs. The film premieres Nov. 9, 2018.

DOCUMENTARY SHOWCASE airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Scientology Network.

Filmmaker Kevin P. Miller, an award-winning documentary writer and director, created Generation Rx 10 years ago to explore the effects of psychiatric drugs prescribed for children. The heartbreaking experiences described in that film led to stacks of letters from children and parents who shared their appalling experiences from prescribed medication — including those that turned normal people into killers.

Letters from Generation Rx, narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Tilda Swinton, presents these personal stories and reveals the latest research on the effects of anti-depressants on the brain. It includes an exclusive interview with Dr. Thomas Insel, former president of the National Institute of Mental Health, who admits that psychiatric drugs are a failure.

Kevin P. Miller has carved a unique path as a documentarian through films that deal with medical freedom of choice. His previous projects include Let Truth be the Bias, narrated by James Earl Jones, and We Become Silent, narrated by Dame Judi Dench. He has won multiple awards at international film festivals, was nominated for an Emmy and has generated tremendous respect among his peers.

Letters from Generation Rx has been honored with myriad awards including the Van Gogh Award of Excellence, the Social Interest Award, Best Feature Documentary and the Social Justice award, among others. “There is so much evidence out there that these drugs are doing far more harm than good,” one reviewer wrote, “When will people wake up?”
