'Lineup' for Taiwan theme park

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - VICTORIA, England - Nov 25, 2016 - The biggest theme park in Taiwan, Leofoo Village, has launched a revolutionary app, ‘Lineup’, in order to reduce wait times for their rides. The Taiwan Tourism Bureau has developed the technology in partnership with a start-up to enable visitors to virtually queue for up to three rides at a time. Users will also be able to take advantage of coupons and discounts exclusive to ‘Lineup’ for restaurants and shops on-site whilst they wait. Debuted during the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, the app means Leofoo Village is the first-ever smart park in Asia.

Located in Hsinchu County, the theme park boasts four themed areas, ‘Wild West’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘Arabian Kingdom’ and ‘African Safari’. Not only is it Asia’s first ever smart park, but it is also the first fantasy world to combine both an amusement park and safari. There are also musical water showers, large parades and magnificent dancing shows on offer. Thanks to this unique range of attractions, Leofoo Village is also a popular filming location.

This development is typical of tech-savvy Taiwan. The destination offers visitors forward thinking technology such as iTaiwan (https://itaiwan.gov.tw/en/), a service which provides wireless internet to travellers free of charge. Sustainability is also used in partnership with technology through the RunKeeper (https://runkeeper.com/partnerships) app, which works in conjunction with YouBike to track the journeys of users of the communal bike service. In addition, the EasyCard (https://www.easycard.com.tw/english/index.asp) can be used to pay for public transport as well as shops and taxis across the capital city.

Flights to Taiwan start from £892 in December 2016.
