PsyCalc® finds psychrometric properties of moist air over a huge range of temperature, moisture content and pressure. Just pick two of six properties as inputs plus an elevation or pressure value, and PsyCalc® returns nine other properties. PsyCalc’s operation is immediate. Results change as users enter new values or use the spin buttons to increment inputs with the click of a mouse. New in this version: Users can change the units of some value types; if they’d rather work humidity ratios in lb/lb (kg/kg) instead of gr/lb (g/kg), just change the default. This version of PsyCalc® displays all properties in a grid that can be re-ordered with a simple drag and drop. Need to switch between English (I-P) and metric (SI) units of measure? Just a single mouse click will do it; plus, users can have their inputs and outputs in different units of measure.
PsyCalc® has a mixing calculator for finding the mixed air properties when mixing two air streams. New in this version is a reverse mixing mode to help zero in on one of the constituents of a mix to achieve a specific target.
The new process calculator has been improved and expanded now with three different input modes, point-to-point, defined load and HVAC component.
PsyCalc® has an easy-to-read display of the latest ASHRAE Climatic Design Data for 6,443 locations around the world. Use the comparison screens to help quantify the outside air load differences between the various cooling or heating value types. If your location is not one of the 6,443, PsyCalc® will help find the closest with a map or grid view of locations within an entered radius.
Completely new for the 20th Anniversary Edition is the PsyCalc® Binner. Use the binning tool to bin scheduled hourly weather data on several different binning variables and bin sizes. Output results to a spreadsheet for energy analysis work. Use the Stats window to investigate the number of hours that fall within a psychrometric range along min, max, mean and average values for nine psychrometric properties.
