Press Release (ePRNews.com) - PADUCAH, KY - Jul 11, 2017 - The McCracken County Cooperative Extension Office will host “Cooking to Survive,” the fifth workshop in its #Adulting Series for young adults, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. July 27 at the office’s location at 2025 New Holt Road in Paducah.
The #Adulting Series is free to the public and helps young adults navigate the life challenges that come with adulthood. The series teaches them everything from cooking techniques to forming healthy relationships and more.
The next workshop, “Cooking to Survive,” will focus on teaching young adults how to budget for groceries, create healthy meal plans and cook delicious meals.
The #Adulting Series launched in March with its first class, “Car Maintenance,” and featured “Landing a Job” in April, “Gardening on a Ledge” in May and “Healthy Relationships” in June.
Following “Cooking to Survive” this month, the Extension Office will hold five more classes each month through December.
The series will feature “Moving Out of Your Parents’ Basement” on August 3, “Etiquette” on September 7, “Decorating for the Holidays” on October 12, “Get the Most Bang for Your Hard-Earned Buck” on November 9, and “Beginning Entrepreneurship” on December 7.
All classes are held at the Extension Office from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on their respective dates, and participants are asked to RSVP by calling 270-554-9520.
