Media Release: New Members Join PULSE Board of Directors

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Wantagh, NY - Aug 24, 2016 - The PULSE Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy (formerly PULSE of NY) is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its governing Board.

Anne Llewellyn, RN-BC, MS, BHSA, CCM, CRRN is a healthcare leader with more than 40 years experience as a critical care nurse, case manager, professional patient advocate, educator, digital journalist . . . . and cancer patient. Anne is the author of Nurse Advocate, a healthcare blog that provides information to consumers, caregivers and healthcare professionals about improving the delivery of care. Anne’s personal experience of a central nervous system brain tumor has helped her recognize the need for patient and family advocacy services.

Rita Said, MBA, is a seasoned Service Consultant to employer groups, brokers, consulting agencies and third-party administrators, with extensive health and wellness experience managing large, complex accounts. Rita has been the recipient of several honors such as the UnitedHealthcare Caught in the Act award and she is a Pinnacle award recipient for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction and Account Persistency. Rita holds a BA in Psychology/ Business Administration and a MBA in Healthcare Management. She has undergone Six Sigma Yellow Belt training and is licensed by the New York State Department of Financial Services as an Agent in Accident/Life & Health. Rita’s personal experiences showed her the need for family-centered patient advocacy services and prompted her to join PULSE to better serve those who require support.
