National Academies Releases NASA Technology Report Chaired by Syncroness Vice President

Press Release ( - Westminster, Colorado - Aug 17, 2016 - The National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine released the NASA Space Technology Roadmaps and Priorities Revisited report this week summarizing the independent review of NASA’s 14 recently revised technology roadmaps.  The committee that performed the review was co-chaired by Syncroness Vice President of Engineering, Todd Mosher, Ph.D. and is the culmination of a year of analysis and formulation of a methodology for future independent reviews.  The report is available through the National Academies Press website.

Syncroness supports its engineering staff participating in the larger science and technology community as a part of its vision to be a nationally recognized engineering leader”, said Syncroness CEO Mike Walraven.  “Todd’s participation in the prestigious work of the National Academies is emblematic of that vision.”

The National Academies of Sciences (NAS) was established in 1863 by an Act of Congress signed by President Abraham Lincoln and the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Medicine were founded under the NAS charter in 1964 and 1970, respectively.  The combined National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine provide independent, objective analysis and advice to the nation to solve complex problems and inform public policy decisions.

The 2015 NASA Technology Roadmaps are a set of documents that consider a wide range of needed technology candidates and development pathways for the next 20 years (2015-2035). The roadmaps focus on applied research and development activities.  A key factor in United States continued aerospace leadership is continuous development of advanced technology, which is critical to U.S. ambitions in space, including a human mission to Mars.

Dr. Todd Mosher, joined the Syncroness team in June of 2015, bringing over 25 years of experience in engineering both in industry and serving as a professor at two universities.
