Established in 2003 and headquartered in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan corridor, we've designed various programs and methods that assist our clients with reaching their goals. Key partnerships assisted us in expanding our resource pool to better serve our clients. With the addition of our Atlanta office, we have expanded our reach throughout the Southeast corridor. The principals of Madison Donovan Group possess more than 17 years of experience in Association and non-profit management, event planning, workshop presentation, administrative oversight, marketing, public relations, leads and social network development experience.
President & CEO, Deanna McCray-James has more than 12 years of experience in association/non-profit management, marketing, communications, and government relations. A graduate of the University of Maryland University College (UMUC), she holds a Master of Science degree in Management with a focus in Public Relations as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies, with a minor in Spanish. Ms. James has competed for and won the titles of Mrs. District of Columbia America 2009, Mrs. Maryland United States 2005 and Ms. Black Continental U.S. 2004 (where she won the Pageantry Spirit Award). Deanna also placed 2nd runner up to Mrs. Maryland America 2004 and won the title of Mrs. Congeniality in that pageant. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and Iota Phi Lambda Business Sorority, Inc.
Executive Vice President C. Maria Weems Maria is a marketing and public relations professional with years of proven, practical experience. She holds a Masters degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland, University College, a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from Towson University and an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising.
Maria is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Mocha Moms, Inc. her professional history includes work as the Communications Director for Astrachan Gunst Thomas, a law firm specializing in intellectual property. She was also a PR account executive with Stanton Communications, Inc., a national public relations firm specializing in Corporate Counseling and Public Affairs as well as a Special Events Coordinator with Black Entertainment Television (B.E.T.), where she worked on projects such as the BET Awards and the St. Lucia Jazz Festival.
