Press Release (ePRNews.com) - PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Mar 06, 2019 - Helping individuals with cognitive disorders or those who want to improve their brain function is the mission at Optimal You Brian Center (OYBC) – that mission is now supported by an additional designation as a Certified Autism Center, a certification from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).
OYBC has a history of success working with many children who have varying special needs. Earning the Certified Autism Center designation from IBCCES, which requires additional training and certification, demonstrates the team’s commitment to serving all individuals who visit the center.
“Working with special needs children and their families is what brings us joy. We aim to empower these individuals with knowledge and alternatives to know there are other options that are non-invasive, drug-free, safe and backed by research. Achieving CAC status has allowed us to take an additional step with our entire staff to ensure we can best serve the autism community,” said Dr. Lexie Romero of OYBC.
For almost 20 years, IBCCES has been the industry leader in certification and training for healthcare, education and corporate professionals – a Jacksonville-based credentialing organization that works in all 50 states and 70 countries around the globe. Many families and individuals are now seeking out organizations that have completed evidence-based training specifically in autism and have completed professional review to ensure the best experience.
“IBCCES is proud to work with an organization that is known for improving the lives of their patients. We strongly believe that there is not a one-size-fits-all therapy – the training and certification that the OYBC staff recently completed will complement the existing expertise and allow them to have a positive impact on even more families,” said Myron Pincomb, IBCCES board chairman.
OYBC provides a full suite of chiropractic care in Ponte Vedra Beach under the care of Dr. Lexie Romero. These services include chiropractic adjustments for all ages, pregnancy care, drug-free pain management and wellness counseling. Dr. Lexie also offers nutritional and lifestyle programs through her training in functional medicine. Dr. Thomas Romero provides services that work off the concept of neuroplasticity, which is the nervous system’s ability to grow and change within itself. Stimulating this process through specific treatments can greatly improve the quality of life for individuals suffering from a wide array of cognitive disorders, sensory motor deficiencies, ADD/ADHD or those individuals seeking improved memory, academic success or athletic function.
“We are unique in the extra time and attention we give our patients. We understand that every single person is different, and their diagnosis does not define them. We see the body as an integrated system with a master controller called the brain. We address every system of the body to ensure they are functioning optimally, allowing us to identify the root cause of disease. we focus on family and view each patient as a member of our own,” said Dr. Thomas Romero of OYBC.
