Press Release (ePRNews.com) - NEW DELHI, India - Jan 05, 2016 - Hollywood blockbuster maestro, Steven Spielberg has raised more than $800 million in debt and equity for his latest filmmaking venture labelled Amblin Partners, that will include Spielberg’s own production houses DreamWorks Studios and Amblin Entertainment as well as Participant Media, Reliance Entertainment and Entertainment One.
Current DreamWorks Studios executives Michael Wright and Jeff Small have been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, respectively.
Spielberg has directed and produced several blockbusters making him the most successful director in Hollywood. This new venture would allow him to continue contributing extravagant films to the world and thus he was thrilled about Amblin Partners. “We are thrilled to partner with Jeff Skoll, Participant Media, and to continue our prolific relationship. We are of like minds, as our many collaborations have illustrated, with a mutual commitment to quality, premium entertainment and global vision.”
Skoll said Spielberg’s filmmaking skills would help Participant Media to grow further, “I have had the good fortune of working with Steven for many years. We share a passion for stories that can truly affect change. And this new venture will further Participant’s growth and global impact.”
DreamWorks Studios and Participant Media have partnered on many critically acclaimed films like ‘Lincoln’ and ‘The Help’ and the recent thriller ‘Bridge of Spies.’
Reliance Entertainment is a part of Anil Ambani led Reliance Group and Spielberg said partnering with him was an honour, “We are honored to continue our long-term association with our dear friend, Anil Ambani and his team at Reliance. We have had the opportunity to develop and produce wonderful films thanks to their ongoing support.”
