Press Release (ePRNews.com) - PALM COAST, Fla. - Feb 13, 2018 - The Rotary Club of Flagler Beach is pleased to once again host the ‘Race the Runways for Rotary 5K’ on February 17, 2018 at 6:00pm. The race will take place on the tarmac and taxiways at the Flagler Executive Airport. The Airport is located at 201 Airport Rd, Palm Coast.
“Last year was our first nighttime event and it was one of our best attended,” said Amanda Bailey, the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach President. “The event was so much fun and we can’t wait to see the participation this year,” she added.
The race will be timed and start at 6:00pm. Registration and sponsorship opportunities are available at flaglerbeachrotary.org. Participants are encouraged to add to the fun by wearing glow-in-the-dark clothing and accessories. Prizes will be given to ‘best dressed’, and the first 200 runners/walkers that sign up will receive a race t-shirt, of course, with part of the shirt that glows in the dark. Headlamps and/or flashlights are encouraged.
By signing up to participate in, or sponsor these events, people and corporations are working with Rotary to serve humanity in our community and wherever there is need in the world.
The Rotary is also planning their Cycle Flagler Ride for Rotary event at the Airport on May 6, 2018. Cycle Flagler Ride for Rotary will offer a variety of ride distances ranging from 25 miles to 100 miles and is expected to attract cyclists from throughout Florida and beyond. The well-established event has become a not-to-be-missed ride for both local cyclists and visitors who travel from many states to participate.
