Press Release (ePRNews.com) - BUEA, Cameroon - Aug 26, 2016 - Saint Monica Vocational Training Center (SMVTC), today announced that classes will begin at its campus in Muea on October 3, 2016, and enrollment has already commenced. The Center’s Director will be Mr. Enades Fowue, who will report directly the the Founder and the Board of Regents.
“I am pleased to have Mr. Enades Fowue and his team as the pioneer leadership team of this new institution,” said Professor Januarius Jingwa (JJ) Asongu, Founder and Chair of the Board of Regents at Saint Monica Vocational Training Center. “Mr. Fowue has many years of experience at other vocational training programs and this expertise will help ensure the success of this project.”
“It is with excitement and humility that I accept this appointment as Director of Saint Monica Vocational Training Center,” said Mr. Enades Fowue, pioneer Director of SMVTC. “As a man who had humble beginnings, I have the right perspective and experience to help young people learn new trades that will enable them to be self-reliant. Our programs will emphasize on skills training and entrepreneurship.”
Mr. Enades Fowue holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SMU. He is also ACCA-certified and has taught at various vocational schools in Buea. Prior to this appointment, he was an Adjunct Faculty at SMU.
The Director of SMVTC will be assisted by Mr. Aloysius Nonge Amindeh, who is a Bachelor of Science student in Informatics at SMU. He has teaching experience, including teaching at a technical school. He will serve as Administrative Assistant.
SMVTC will also run Language and Writing Programs, which will be coordinated by Mr. Edward Etawo, who has a Bachelor of Philosophy degree and has worked as a journalists for many years. The Intensive English Program will be for non-speakers of English who want to prepare for studies in English. The focus will be on Spanish-speakers and Francophones who want to learn English and study at English-speaking universities. The program will also teach the German language to non-German speakers and prepare them for studies or work in Germany.
Mr. Leonard Ajonina, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, and will serve as Coordinator of US High School Diploma Program. He has many years of secondary school teaching experience. This program is for those who want to seek a US high school diploma in lieu of or in addition to the General Certificate of Education.
