Press Release (ePRNews.com) - NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Dec 19, 2018 - New Startup Vrailler Inc. announced that it is raising funds via a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to finish the development of Vrailler, their revolutionary Braille label printing technology. The company set out to raise $10,000 on Kickstarter to finish development and produce the first batch of their latest invention that is going to change Braille education.
Complete inclusivity has always been difficult to achieve for the visually disabled. Given that eyes are the most dominant sense of all, its absence can often inhibit the way people consume information, data, and content, and designing for visual disability can oftentimes be a big challenge, and Braille still isn’t completely available everywhere. That is notably because Braille printers are very specialized machines and cost an absolute fortune.
While other Braille printers make a point to be specialized, hard to use, inaccessible, and expensive, Vrailler is easy to use, pocket-sized, and, more importantly, affordable. It uses two perforated slates, a third upper slate, and a set of pins that you drop into the base-slate to create indentations. When the upper slate and middle slate are pressed onto the base slate, the indentations translate onto the paper/film, resulting in printed braille. These can be used to create name-tags, labels, or even accessible business cards. To make multiple prints on the Vrailler, once users set in the formation of pins, the Vrailler prints braille out without using any electricity or battery power.
Vrailler Inc. is a social enterprise company that aims to bridge together the visually impaired community with the rest of society. At first, we examined which groups of people needed assistance from outside their own community. We found that the visually impaired were the most vulnerable and so, our team created the Vrailler. Through this product we hope that the people around those who are visually impaired will be able to obtain the necessary skills and information to be able to empathize with them.
The Vrailler can be used to print multiple languages in Braille, giving it accessibility on a much larger scale, and can be easily carried around and operated by anyone due to the guidebook that comes with the Vrailler. In its effort to make braille more accessible, the Vrailler is perfect for schools, allowing visually disabled children to have access to information, as well as in offices, to make them much more inclusive to all.
The Vrailler is now available on Kickstarter with early bird prices starting at $35. After the campaign, Vrailler Inc. anticipates manufacturing and delivery to be fulfilled by April 2019. Any influencers or journalists interested in receiving a sample and reviewing the Vrailler are encouraged to submit an inquiry through its Kickstarter page. Source :
