State Bank of Travancore (SBT) Q1 net loss at Rs 743 crore

Press Release ( - INDORE, India - Jul 27, 2016 - Public sector State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has noted a net fall of Rs 742.89 crore for the June quarter because of upper NPAs.Its net benefit amid the comparing quarter in past monetary year remained at Rs 81.32 crore, the bank said in an announcement.

On account of upper procurements of Rs 1,170 crore for NPA (Non-Performing Assets) and extra prudential provisionsor other focused on records, the bank has confronted drops.The Gross NPA remained at 9.38%, while Net NPA was 5.99% as on June 2016, it said.The bank, in any case, has recorded a working benefit of Rs 426.65 crore amid the quarter under review.SBT one of the Kerala based-banks is planned to be converged with State Bank of India (SBI).

The other pay likewise developed by about 35% to Rs 351.37 crore amid the 3-month time frame as against Rs 260.72 crore in June quarter of the first monetary year, on the back of strong development of 142% development in benefit from treasury operations.While entire deposits developed by Rs 10,255 crore essentially determined by a strong CASA development of Rs 5,669 crore speaking to more than 55% of entire deposit development.

“The high rate deposit and bulk deposits came fall sharply from 13.24% to 9.34%,” C R Sasikumar, MD, SBT, said.

Complete advances remained at Rs 68,276 crore as on June 2016 as against Rs 68,411 crore as on June 2015, the publish said.SBT has an entire of 1,178 branches and 1,742 ATMs in 16 states and 3 Union Territories.

The bank has 851 branches and 1,370 ATMs in Kerala alone.
