Press Release (ePRNews.com) - SAN ANTONIO - Mar 20, 2018 - Fan Fair 2018 San Antonio is a wrap! Musical performances from two hundred plus bands took over stages in the heart of San Antonio, Texas and entertained music lovers from every corner of Texas and beyond.
Between The Tejano Music Awards and Univision Radio, although separate entities, they put on a show that will brand you a memory forever.
Performances from local artists all the way up to the ranks of Bobby Pulido, Elida Reyna, Shelly Larres and Ram Herrera took over several stages at Market Square and La Villita Plaza along with others throughout the city, over this four-day event.
Perhaps one of the most impressive crowd entertainers, was the KXTN and TTMA performance of newcomer, Stevie D (Steve Dominguez).
After only one daytime performance at an outdoor small stage with a couple of hundred in attendance last year, to this year’s multiple performances with a growth of several thousands in the crowd, one could only think, “What a difference a year makes”. With hits from his Top Selling, 1st solo CD, De Repente, like Me Crei de Ti, Como Fue and Copia Flasa, it’s no wonder his fan base is growing immensely and craving more.
According to C&E Distributors in San Antonio, Stevie D’s De Repente CD is the number one Tejano selling CD in the country.
In a recent interview on Univision’s KXTN 107.5, program director Homie Marco said that after hearing Stevie D for the very first time he said to himself, “He’s got the FORMULA”. Well, after seeing his crowd grow from a couple of hundred last year, to a few thousand this year, it seems Mr. Marco has a point; Stevie D is the real deal. When asked what he thought of the turn out this year, Stevie humbly said, “I’m so grateful and I can’t believe it. I am in awe of what has happened in such a short period of time, I owe it all to the fans”. Maybe his grounded attitude has a lot to do with it. Either way, it looks like tejano music won’t be going anywhere soon and Stevie is certainly part of that reason.
