Students take on the international music industry

Press Release ( - PRETORIA, South Africa - Nov 14, 2016 - Three TUKS University students, a rookie entrepreneur and an IT geek have come together on a mission to bridge the gap between the business and the music worlds.

A simple idea started when Kiara Dawson, the vocalist from Friends With Leaves, was having trouble finding a new drummer for her band. After many emails, phone calls and auditions, wasting a ton of time, the problem was resolved, temporarily.

There had to be a way to get the same result with more ease and less effort.

After looking at the industry and looking at what options there were worldwide for this problem, the team weren’t happy with the solutions and what they had to offer. Although some helpful services were out there and being offered, it was felt that they did not cater to the full demands of the music industry..

The team had to find a way to connect all aspects of the business and music industry together under one platform.

In just two short months, and on a student’s budget, this little team has managed to build a fully functional website that offers musicians of all genres and expert levels the chance to connect with a global music network. They have provided a safe, secure and user friendly networking platform that enables vendors, bands, solo-artists and recording studios to organize, promote, book and transact swiftly and effortlessly.

With hope for the future, founding partner, JP Cillie, expresses his wishes for Session to become a community that uplifts and supports its members and connects the “underdog” to a world of possibility in the music industry.

The future looks bright for the young Session International Team and it looks like they have great things in store, for the music industry.

Session launches this week on
