The Dan Marino Foundation (DMF) and Badia Spices are once again partnering to launch an awareness and fundraising campaign in support of those living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Now through Dec. 31, 2019, when consumers purchase a bottle of Badia Everything Bagel or Everything Hemp anywhere in the world where Badia Spices are sold, Badia will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sales to The Dan Marino Foundation.
DMF was founded in 1992 by Dan and Claire Marino, motivated by experiences in raising their son Michael, who was diagnosed with autism. Through the generosity of community and corporate partners like Badia Spices, the foundation has raised more than $79 million to create impactful initiatives including the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Dan Marino Outpatient Center, the Marino Autism Research Institute, and Marino Campus post-secondary programs in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. At the forefront of creating new technologies to reduce the rate of unemployment for the individuals served, DMF has developed award-winning software including Virtual Interactive Training Agent (ViTA DMF). Whether pushing the frontiers of mixed reality with partners like Google and Magic Leap or preparing young adults with autism and other disabilities for careers, The Dan Marino Foundation is a game-changer.
“Badia is proud to partner with The Dan Marino Foundation in support of their unparalleled efforts to empower individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in their journey to independence,” said Joseph “Pepé” Badia, President of Badia Spices, Inc.
Badia Spices, Inc. is one of today’s fastest-growing family-owned Hispanic food companies. Badia manufactures, packages, and distributes spices, seasoning blends, marinades, sauces, teas, health items, and other products to more than 70 countries around the world. Badia recently added Everything Bagel and Everything Hemp to their line of healthy seasoning toppings. Everything Bagel is a blend of Sesame Seeds, Poppy Seeds, Onion, Garlic and Salt, and Everything Hemp incorporates Hemp Protein Powder to their very popular Everything Bagel product. These two toppings will add amazing flavor, texture, and color to favorite meals, from bruschetta to chicken, shrimp, veggies, stir fry, bagels to EVERYTHING. To date, with the support of consumers, Badia Spices has raised over $700,000 for The Dan Marino Foundation through the “Go the Extra Yard for Those with Autism” campaigns.
“The Badia Spices campaign helps ensure opportunities for all. As the foundation continues working to deliver life-changing programs, Claire and I are thankful to the Badia team and their customers for supporting awareness and acceptance of individuals with autism,” said Dan Marino, Chairman of The Dan Marino Foundation.
