The Echo Chamber Club launches new service to help liberal metropolitans access new points of v

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Nov 17, 2016 - The Echo Chamber Club offers a service that gives liberal and progressive metropolitans access to different points of view.

It launched the week after Brexit. The aim is to help liberal and progressive people to understand viewpoints that don’t commonly pop up on their social media feeds, or in their newspapers.

Over the past year, this service is required more than ever – Brexit and Trump’s election has shocked many in this group – and the need is clear. Everyone wants to be aware of arguments that exist outside their social group.

Over the past couple of months our subscriber base has soared to nearly 1000 with no marketing nor ad spend – this is a service that people love – and is a real solution to the problems created by filter bubbles and echo chambers.

The Echo Chamber Club’s solution is simple. We monitor social and media feeds and identify common liberal and progressive viewpoints. We then send a newsletter with links that challenge that view. Previous newsletters (http://echochamber.club/previous-newsletters/) have included “why Trump will win the election”, “in favour of safe spaces” and “let’s go deeper into the [Calais] Jungle”.

In addition to the WhatsApp service now offered by The Echo Chamber Club (http://echochamber.club/), we launch a brand new website – with easy ways for subscribers to tell us more about them, contribute ideas for future newsletters and support via donations.

Founder and Editor-in-Chief Alice Thwaite says: “I frequently get messages from my subscribers telling me to keep up the good work – they love the content! It’s great to finally have the content to support everyone.”

Subscriber Luke Fernando says: “What I like about the Echo Chamber Club is that it points me in the direction of alternative articles that I could read that I would never normally have come across during my day. As I don’t often have time to read around the various stories that I come across from my usual media sources, I find the Echo Chamber Club incredibly useful in at least getting me to question what I have been reading in the mainstream media that week.”
