Press Release (ePRNews.com) - Kansas City, MO - Jan 24, 2017 - ThinkViral LLC has released a Social Media Operations Manual for small businesses and corporations called the “SmartSocial System.” The book focuses on having a weekly social media process and covers everything from what to post, to who to talk to online, to how to track results. ThinkViral team members said the “SmartSocial System” is the exact same process their own social media managers have been using to bring success to their clients for over five years.
“Unfortunately, most companies have no processes in place for managing social media so they’re all out there winging it…. and boosting $5 posts on Facebook!” said Anne Cull, President of ThinkViral. “Worse, many of them have interns or new college graduates managing their whole brand online – with no supervision, and no written guidelines to say what can, or cannot, be shared.”
Unfortunately, most companies have no processes in place for managing social media so they’re all out there winging it….and boosting $5 posts on Facebook! Worse, many of them have interns or new college graduates managing their whole brand online – with no supervision, and no written guidelines to say what can, or cannot, be shared.
Anne Cull, President
For that reason, Cull said the SmartSocial System is meant to provide a resource for small businesses and corporations because it not only contains guidelines for supervising social media managers, it also has a way to track whether or not they are talking to the right companies online.
“That’s huge for a business,” said Cull. “There’s no point in spending time aimlessly creating Facebook posts if your buyers aren’t even paying attention to you, which is what typically happens when there’s no process in place.”
Cull said companies who have in-house social media managers, interns, or new college graduates managing their social networks are great candidates for the SmartSocial System because those people often have marketing or technology experience but are usually not well-versed in relationship sales.
“For social media managers, the SmartSocial System helps them feel more successful because it gives them a tool to show ongoing results,” said Cull. “One of the most valuable chapters in the system is the weekly Monday-Friday social media prospecting schedule because most social media managers have never been taught how to prospect, even though they are expected to bring in customers from social media efforts.”
Cull said that’s why so many companies are wasting money on social media advertising. “They throw money at it because they don’t understand any other way to make it work,” she said.
ThinkViral is unique in that their firm does not focus on advertising or marketing. They are intentional about prospecting and interacting with business contacts online, and are skilled at using social networks to develop referral business.
Cull believes social media success comes down to a process of combining sales goals with social media tools and said since she couldn’t find any examples showing what that process actually looked like, ThinkViral decided to release their own internal process as a social media operations manual for business – The SmartSocial System.
