Press Release (ePRNews.com) - SANTIAGO, Chile - Oct 09, 2016 - In Santiago, Chile, recognized director Gustavo Letelier has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise $15,000 and produce this unique feature film. US non-profit Nueva Vista Latin Film Market proudly partners the film to give fiscal sponsorship for tax deduction to US backers.
The film tells the timeless story of sexual child abuse within the family, a taboo which resides at the core on many more families than we imagine around the world. According to well known statistics, more than 15 millions per year boys are sexually abused globally in their families. That is 41,000 per day. In the US alone, 91% of all victims have been abused or neglected by one or both of their parents. The damage is sometimes irreversible.
Based on the compelling stage play “Bruno“, the film tells the story of Francisco, a young man trying to find love and acceptance in life after he was abused as a child by his stepfather. It’s also the story of a kid who couldn’t count on his mother to reveal his secret and overcome his pain. A film to help raise awareness about sexual abuse in the family around the world.
