Unlearning Can Help You Navigate a Fast-Changing Future

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - CLEVELAND - May 01, 2018 - After an event-filled April, acclaimed futurist and best-selling author Jack Uldrich will begin another busy month with presentations today in Cleveland, OH, and Charleston, SC. Throughout the rest of the month, he will be speaking at meetings and events in eleven more cities throughout the United States.

In his presentations, Uldrich will be sharing his insights on being better prepared for the future for leaders in a variety of industries, including construction, wealth management, human resources, manufacturing, medical devices, insurance, real estate, and business management.

Uldrich, who is the founder of The School of Unlearning, dedicates himself to helping businesses, governments, and nonprofit organizations prepare for and profit from periods of profound transformation.

Thinking like a futurist involves appreciating how the world of tomorrow is changing. Far too often companies are fixated on issues that are front and center, or at times, they are stuck dealing with issues from the past. They aren’t taking time out to reflect on what the future will hold in store.

“Powered by rapidly emerging and converging technologies, the world today is changing faster than ever,” says Uldrich. “These changes are happening worldwide, and not one of the industries I address is immune to the shifts.”

According to Uldrich, “New advances in technology bring forth exciting discoveries every day. But often lost in this new reality is the fact that organizations must unlearn old, obsolete knowledge and old ways of doing business before they can seize tomorrow’s opportunities.”

He continues, “Thinking like a futurist involves appreciating how the world of tomorrow is changing. Far too often companies are fixated on issues that are front and center, or at times, they are stuck dealing with issues from the past. They aren’t taking time out to reflect on what the future will hold in store.”

With these statements in mind, during his many keynotes, Uldrich covers the ten game-changing technologies and trends that organizations should begin familiarizing themselves with today. Some of the technologies he will focus on include blockchain, genomics, artificial intelligence, robotics, renewable energy, virtual and augmented reality, and autonomous vehicles.

In addition to the technological trends, Uldrich motivates his clients to shift their organizational mindsets. His concept for that is “The Big AHA,” which is his acronym for Awareness, Humility, and Action. He makes it a priority to point out to his clients how to “unlearn obsolete ways of thinking that no longer serve them.”
