Upper Deck’s First-Ever Esports Spokesperson Revealed in New Overwatch League™ Series 2 Trading Cards

Press Release (ePRNews.com) - CARLSBAD, Calif. - May 20, 2021 - Upper Deck, the premier worldwide sports and entertainment trading card and collectibles company, announced today the company’s first-ever esports spokesperson in conjunction with the global launch of Overwatch League™ Series 2 Trading Cards. Salome “Soe” Gschwind-Repp, will make her debut in the fourth esports trading card product from Upper Deck.

Soe is a well-known esports veteran who has covered over 30 video games in her career. She hosted her first BlizzCon in 2011 and has served as an interviewer, host and analyst for the Overwatch League since its inaugural season in 2018. In 2019, she won the Top Women in Media Award created by the Cynopsis Media Company and, in 2020, was awarded Top Esports Host of the Year by gameHERS.

“As a mainstay of the Overwatch League since day one, we are honored to create Soe’s first-ever professional trading card,” said Bubby Johanson, Director of Game Development at Upper Deck.” Overwatch League Series 2 is a robust product that offers something for every level of collector, from collecting the complete base set to chasing super-rare multi-autographed player cards.”

The first-ever licensed Soe card will be available in Upper Deck Overwatch League Series 2, which wraps up the 2020 season with 36 new Star Rookies and a 150-card base set featuring key players from across all 20 teams in the league. Popular insert sets including Inked Fragments, Fragment Relics and transparent Infra-Sight cards return in Series 2, along with brand new Legendary parallels and Crosslight parallels printed on unique patterned foil.
