Press Release (ePRNews.com) - CLEARWATER, Fla. - Mar 12, 2019 - Vela, a leader in compliance monitoring and logging systems for broadcast and television organizations, today announced that Bob Valinski has joined the Vela sales organization to lead sales in the Northeastern United States as well as strategic top-tier accounts.
Valinski is Vela’s fourth distinguished sales hire in as many months, as the organization looks to extend its lead as the preferred Smart-Logging solution in the U.S., providing compliance monitoring, multi-viewing, 24×7 logging, competitive station analysis, and significantly more.
“We are thrilled Bob has joined the team – where he fits right in amongst our seasoned sales executives,” said Ken Rubin, VP of Worldwide Sales at Vela. “Bob has shown himself to be a sales leader throughout his career and has a track record of proven success. His deep knowledge and understanding of customer environments stemming from his earliest experience as a station engineer, and his extensive career working closely with leading broadcast and programming customers is a perfect fit with the personality and character of Vela and our sales team.”
Bob joins Vela from VizRT where he drastically increased sales to major broadcast networks in the greater New York City area and from DC to Boston. Early in his 35-year career, Bob spent 13 years as an engineer at WGGB in Springfield, Massachusetts leaving there in the role of Director of Technical Operations managing a crew of over 35 engineers, before becoming a applications engineer at Grass Valley and then moving on to sales roles at Crispin, ParkerVision, Harmonic/Omneon, and Orad/Avid.
“I’m honored to join Vela and look forward to introducing their outstanding products to the networks and broadcasters I have worked with throughout my career,” said Valinski. “It became apparent to me that the entire U.S.-based Vela organization is absolutely committed to customer service and cares deeply about their customers’ success with their products – a commitment that was an extremely important factor in my decision to join the team.”
Bob’s first order of business at Vela will be to assist broadcast organizations that may be looking for a replacement for other compliance logging and monitoring solutions, such as Volicon.
